**Housekeeper position**

The Detox Centre of Manitoba is a residential detox and rehab facility in Winnipeg.

We are looking to hire a dedicated housekeeper to join our cleaning team. You will be responsible for cleaning vacant bedrooms, all bathrooms, and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting/polishing, and sanitizing.
- Clean resident suites and common areas according to schedule.
- Make beds and change sheets.
- Ensure all resident suites are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Empty all garbage receptacles.
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify management of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

**Housekeeper Requirements**:

- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with facility guests.
- Hard worker.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

**Experience**:

- Housekeeping: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Winnipeg, MB R3E 0K6 (required)

Work Location: In person

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
