**Basic Function**

The Shipper/Receiver
- Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient receiving, checking, picking, packing and shipping customer orders while strictly following GMP guidelines and the Standard Operating Procedures.

**Nature and Scope**

Under the supervision of the Manager/Supervisor, Warehouse & Facilities, the Shipper/Receiver
- Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, packaging and shipping product following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Shipper/Receiver
- Warehouse Associate is responsible to perform other duties such as general housekeeping, inventory checks and quality assurance checks, etc. The work is performed according to set practices and procedure and is of a routine nature.

**Principal Accountabilities (duties performed for both SHN & CPAK)**

**Receiving (60% of job)**
- Offloads product from trucks and provides for rotation on a “first expiry-first out” basis for 2 separate units
- Inspects all incoming trucks according to company guidelines (temperature, cleanliness and sanitation)
- Records all deliveries in appropriate company receiving log
- Receive and unload incoming products and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment
- Notifies supervisor or purchaser when special or non-stock items have been received and stored (SHN)
- Notifies Q-Pick personnel when narcotic items have been received (CPAK)
- Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received
- Inspect shipments for damages, loss or defects and notify the Manager, Supervisor of findings
- Responsible for accurately receiving, reporting, and distributing purchased items
- Stages products in cooler, warehouse and on dock to ensure that only quality products are accessible for selection and delivery to customers and consults with the supervisor, quality control specialist or purchaser when there is a doubt about quality
- Stock shelves in the warehouse
- Is licensed and operates a reach truck, pump truck or an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently
- Stacks pallets correctly, i.e., heavy products used as the base, light and delicate products on top
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all products shipped or received
- Processes PO’s (purchase orders) in Warehouse Management System SAP after receiving physical product

**Shipping (30% of job)**
- Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements
- Prepare daily courier pickups (skids, flatbeds etc) for various transport companies (SHN & CPAK)
- Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock
- Notify the warehouse team leader or manager of shortages
- Package and ship in accordance with SOP, packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices
- Maintain product stock in work area
- Stock shelves in the warehouse
- Monitor packaging material supplies and notify the warehouse team leader or purchasing coordinator when materials get to the restocking point
- Organize pick tickets and cross check against courier end of day reports (Fedex, Purolator, ATS etc)

**Material Handling (10% of job)**
- Read pick worksheets and verify the material matches the pick worksheet order
- Verify all numbers, the lot number and expiry date matches the pick worksheet and the product using an RF Scanner
- Notify the Manager of warehouse and/or team leader of problems with the orders
- Adjust work orders as required when the material is short, according to the work order

**Qualifications & Skills**
- High School diploma
- Ability to lift up to 45lbs
- High attention to detail is essential
- Prior experience in a fast paced warehouse preferred
- Prior experience in a multi-temperature environment an asset
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- 95% of the work is done while in a standing position. Concurrently, 75% of this time is spent bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing and lifting objects up to 45lbs, buddy system thereafter
- The physical environment is a clean, quiet warehouse area
- The job has a routine work pace with an enhanced degree of pressure
- May be required to work longer than the scheduled work hours including over-time, weekends
