**Status**: Professional, Permanent, Full Time
Reporting to the Supply Chain function, the incumbent is responsible for analyzing market trends, building market relationships to stay abreast of important changes that may influence strategic decisions related to product availability, demand forecasting, product costing and pricing. You will also be responsible for creating and updating pricing models, supplier performance metrics and key performance indicators to measure the value delivered to all our customers. Finally, you will be responsible for optimizing the internal and external reporting mechanism across the network.
The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring supply chain market trends, conducting research, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to optimize supply chain processes and ensure cost-effective solutions.
The position requires the handling, management and/or supervision for the tasks described below:
**Market Research and Analysis**:
- Monitor and analyze global and regional supply chain market trends, including demand patterns, supplier capacity, industry benchmarks, and geopolitical factors.
- Identify opportunities and risks in the supply chain market to inform the company's strategy and decision-making.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape and provide insights into potential threats and opportunities.
- Support cost modeling / breakdown of supply chain costs, as required, for use in strategic sourcing negotiations.
**Data Collection and Management**:
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate and up-to-date market data from various sources, such as industry reports, databases, and news articles.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence tools, such as dashboards and databases, to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (e.g., OTD, ADL, DRs, cost savings, etc.).
**Forecasting and Reporting**:
- Develop short-term and long-term market forecasts to support supply chain planning and budgeting.
- Prepare and present comprehensive market analysis reports to senior management, highlighting key market insights, trends, and potential impacts on the company's supply chain operations.
**Stakeholder Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to develop and implement supply chain strategies based on market analysis.
- Support procurement teams in supplier negotiations, leveraging market insights to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Work in partnership with members of the supply chain function to generate analysis and present insights for informed decision-making.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new market trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to enhance professional knowledge and expand the company's network.
- Participate in continuous harmonization improvement initiatives relating but not limited to process implementations, daily work instruction, procedure development and governance on best business practices.
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in market analysis, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Curious and eager to learn.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English).
