We are a well established, professional property management company specializing in the management of strata corporations. Our mandate is to provide the highest level of service to our clients.

We are seeking two full-time, Accounting Assistants. Stratawest Management is a growing firm and offers an excellent working environment where employees are valued and supported.

1) Someone with some accounting or related experience looking to excel in this position long term, or
2) Someone with a Diploma in Accounting or similar education who is looking to gain experience, excel in this position, and transition into a Property Accountant position

General duties for the Accounting Assistant Position:

- General Ledger:

- Entering monthly and annual budgets
- Preparing annual budget working papers for use by Property Managers
- Bank:

- Clearing cheques and other withdrawals as part of the monthly bank reconciliation process
- Accounts Receivable:

- Updating owner monthly preauthorized debit amounts in accounting software and on manual forms
- Summarizing amended preauthorized debit amounts for reconciliation purposes
- Exporting and importing owner information from the accounting software into Excel
- Mailing monthly owners’ statements
- Accounts Payable:

- Invoice entry
- Vendor set up
- Mailing cheques
- Amending vendors’ EFT account data
- Financial Statements:

- Scanning monthly financial statements and attachments
- Other:

- Boxing up records after the year end has passed and facilitating pickup by an off-site storage company
- Software used:

- Adagio
- MS Office Suite
- Outlook
- Excel
- Word

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
