**Summary**:
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for the co-ordination of procurement activities and processing of administrative functions of all facilities in Canada. This role supports the daily processing activities which support the teams strategic and tactical growth targets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Create Purchase orders, and keep it updated with the required information.
Review and manage order confirmations, pricing updates on Purchase orders.
Follow up on purchase orders and lead times.
Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies.
Coordinate with third-party shipping companies for pickups.
Follow up with vendors and investigate any problems or discrepancies.
Close purchase orders.
Evaluate offers from the vendors.
Update Stock keeping units.
Address unforeseen and urgent requirements quickly, escalate it to the purchasing manager.
Process purchase returns and follow up to ensure credits are received.
Complete additional duties as assigned by the purchasing manager.
Assist with any projects as needed.
Maintain strong relationships and communication with suppliers.
Communicate with planning, production, and QC department.
Review invoices with accounts payable in case of discrepancies.
