We are currently recruiting for** Carpenters** **(2nd Apprentice to Journeyperson)** to join the team at the **Terwillegar & Whitemud Drive** project in **Edmonton**

**This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.**

**Shift is 5 days on 2 days off - chance to work overtime if needed**

**Responsibilities**:

- Be able to comprehend blueprints, and prepare layouts
- Understand concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Look for, and fix deficiencies
- Checks accuracy of work
- Able to plan work
- Familiar with concrete pours, pour Hts., elevations, etc.
- Build scaffolding, and ladders for temporary work platforms above ground level
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- Follows Company Policies in regard to safety Absolutes and Documenting Safety Paperwork i.e. FLRA’s etc.

**Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
