Arborist/ Arborist Assistant

Rayzor Edge Tree Service is a thriving, independently-owned, full service residential and commercial tree care business. This new role is primarily for our residential tree care service. We are looking to add a third qualified climber to our team, having 3 climbers will speed things up, and spread the load and responsibility across 3 guys, rather then just 2 main climbers, making everybody's job easier.

Our year looks a little different then most companies with the land clearing side of the company

January-March, The residential crew is shut down, and the crew jumps on land clearing for 2-3 months. The consists of running forestry equipment such as excavators, skidders, mulchers, etc. The guys enjoy the break and running equipment instead of climbing trees in -15 and wind chill has it's benefits

**Responsibilities**:

- Understands and demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of the ground person and climber positions
- Ensures that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
- Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed
- Interacts with clientele to help ensure complete job satisfaction
- Participates in all safety training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety skills
- Assists in business and sales development activities
- Proficient at Pruning or removing trees per ISA standards
- Working off the ground in tree canopy and using truck-mounted lifts
- Climbs and operates aerial lift to perform tree pruning, removal, cabling & bracing.
- Operate Chippers, Trucks, Aerial Lifts, stump grinders or special equipment
- Knowledge of proper pruning and removal techniques
- Use of sophisticated climbing and rigging techniques
- Supervisory leadership experience
- Maintain all issued gear/assigned equipment
- Be a diligent problem solver and can communicate well with co-workers and customers
- Demonstrate professionalism and deliver exceptional customer service to clients
- G license required, as is a good driving record; Commercial DZ Driver’s License would be an asset
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, or a related field would be an asset
- ISA Arborist Certification would also be an asset.
