**Responsibilities**
The successful applicant will join 18 pediatric cardiologists and three associated researchers providing a full spectrum of clinical pediatric cardiology services and research, with expertise in multi-modal diagnostic imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, fetal cardiology, heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and preventive cardiology. In addition to clinical care, the division is active in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital Cardiac Program is the 9th largest in North America by surgical volume, a quaternary center providing care for Western Canada. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology has a fully accredited Pediatric Cardiology subspecialty-training program through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with numerous trainees (undergraduate and postgraduate students, residents and clinical /research fellows) matriculating within the Division each academic year. The Division harbors an active basic and clinical science program, collaborating locally, nationally, and internationally. **Qualifications**
Interested applicants must have:
- MD degree (or equivalent)
- Completed residency in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiology
- Completed 1 full year advanced training in Pediatric Echocardiography
- At least 2 years of advanced training or experience in research
Considered an asset:
- Experience in three-dimensional echocardiography, functional imaging and/or fetal cardiology
Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, based on the income scale of a competitive and highly successful academic alternate funding plan.
