Production Control Coordinator

We are looking to add Fiercely Reliable **Production Control Coordinator** to our team based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The **Production Control Coordinator** is responsible and accountable for coordinating and performing administrative duties such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork and product labels. **Production Control Coordinator **will be involved in auditing, checking and documenting production activities to ensure schedules are maintained. The **Production Control Coordinator** will determine progress of work and coordinate the flow of materials within Steel Manufacturing according to the production schedule. Additionally they are to be familiar with, abide by and actively support the company’s mission, vision and core values.

**Production Control Coordinator Duties**
- Ensures adherence to health and safety regulations; promotes safety and encourage safe work practices.
- Maintains quality manufacturing practices and processes; follows defined procedures/inspection criteria, documents and takes appropriate action on actual and potential problems
- Maintains iERP system and record keeping (ie. BOM creation and routing management)
- Coordinates, organizations and distributes product labels for manufacturing and shipping requirements
- Liaises the procurement of raw material requirements along with Senior Planner and Purchasing
- Executes the manufacturing plan to meet inventory & shipping requirements
- Develop lists and coordinate the daily raw material flow within the steel manufacturing facility
- Follows up plan with Production Supervisor(s),Operators and Material Coordinator to assess progress and discuss needed changes
- Compile information such as production reports, inventories, materials used and third-party status reports (ie. AZZ report)
- Participate in iERP training for manufacturing operators.
- Identify process enhancement opportunities and participate in executing these action plans.
- Understands, supports and adheres to Norseman policies and procedures.
- Communicates openly, accurately and effectively.
- Conducts oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards leaders, subordinates, peers and other key stakeholders of the company

**Production Control Coordinator Requirements**

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Effective team builder with demonstrated abilities in critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task time sensitive and deadline driven tasks.
- ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems considered an asset
- Competency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings preferred.
- ISO standards experience and competency with Lean Manufacturing considered an asset.
