**The opportunity**

**In this role, you will be accountable for**:

- Monitoring key operating parameters to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment.
- Performing routine field level equipment inspections to verify and monitor operation.
- Collecting and analyzing process samples that are used to control process quality.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards in operating units.
- Operating automated control systems (DCS).
- Troubleshooting process, circuit, or equipment deviations to mitigate variable process conditions or safety issues.
- Preparing process equipment for the execution of maintenance or process conditions.
- Participating in procedure and operating standard reviews and updates.

**Skills and attributes for success**:

- High School Diploma is a requirement.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is a requirement.
- 3-5 years related industrial experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate issued by ABSA is an asset.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with good mechanical aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
