**JOB ROLE**

The Coordinator of Housekeeping Services is member of the team of the Sylvan Lake Foundation with direct responsibility for all housekeeping and laundry services. This position is directly supervised by the Executive Director.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. Accountable for scheduling and supervision of all housekeeping and laundry staff (permanent full-time, part-time and casual).

2. Accountable for annual performance appraisal of all housekeeping and laundry staff.

3. Responsible for review of housekeeping and laundry staff on probation and recommendation for hiring.

4. Responsible for documentation, review and submission of housekeeping and laundry payroll data.

5. Responsible for ordering all housekeeping and laundry supplies.

6. Supports Executive Director in development of budget in respect to housekeeping supplies and equipment. Works within the approved budget.

7. Accountable for meeting all appropriate regulatory standards, including but not limited to, Public Health and the Supportive Living Accommodation Standards.

8. Responsible to give leadership to the Foundation Occupational Health and Safety Program.

9. May provide coverage for Dietary and/or Housing Coordinators on an as needed basis and with direction from the Executive Director.

10. Responsible for other related tasks as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

1. More than 5 years’ experience in the housekeeping and laundry field.

2. More than 2 years’ experience supervising staff.

3. Current WHIMS, Emergency First Aid Certificate.

4. In good health with no physical limitations to performing the tasks of the housekeeping and laundry department.

5. Documented leadership roles in staffed and volunteer experiences.

6. Self-motivated team player.

7. Must be able to operate MS Office, specifically MS Word and MS Excel.

8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.35-$28.44 per hour
