**SUMMARY**

The Steamfitter-Pipefitter is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work may exist indoors or outdoors depending on the scope and is typically physically demanding.

**Location**: Edmonton, AB Fabrication Shop

**Rate**: $31.30-$50.65 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

**JOB DUTIES**
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Prepping pipe ends and fitting by grinding or buffing
- Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
- Ensure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weakness
- Connect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand tools
- Cut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch or plasma machine
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be an Alberta registered apprentice or ticketed journeyman (or hold an apprenticeship or journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
- CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
- OSSA Confined Space
- Overhead crane and rigging
- Shop fabrication experience is an asset
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
- Organized and self-motivated
- Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
