**Job Title: After School Program Tutor**

**Hours: 3.5 - 14 hours/week**

**Time Frame: Monday - Friday from 3:15pm-6:45pm**

**Location: Eva Rothwell Centre - 460 Wentworth St. N**

**Accountability**: The After School Program Tutor will report directly to the Program Manager of the Eva Rothwell Centre.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lesson/program planning, managing daily setup and clean-up, and photo documentation of the experiences to be used as a program evaluation tool.
- Creating and executing personalized lesson plans for students in grades 5 through 8 in a one-on-one capacity.
- Encouraging and promoting participation in engaging educational activities and exercises.
- Following and upholding the Eva Rothwell Centre’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Providing leadership, direction, and daily management in alignment with the Mission, Core Values, policies, and procedures of the Eva Rothwell Centre.
- Acting as a positive role model while providing assistance and support to staff, children, and families.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education/Experience**:

- Experience facilitating children’s programs and/or working with children.
- Experience tutoring children and youth.
- The ability to tutor students in French is an asset.

**Special Requirements**:

- First two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination required (prior to start of employment).
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.
- High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification (Recreation Quality Assurance Standard) is an asset.
- Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset.

**Evaluations**:

- 6 Months and 1 Year.
