**SCOPE OF THE POSITION**
The Plant Manager is a leader of people, focused on leading the daily operations of the plant in the most safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
The ideal incumbent has a proven record of leading people on the plant floor, in a manufacturing environment. The incumbent can stay balanced on day-to-day leadership of people, motivating, engaging, and focusing teams in the right areas, and focusing on driving overall performance standards and a continuous improvement environment.

**MORE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- Lead the people and performance of the facility across production, warehouse, maintenance etc. engaging people to work together collaboratively and optimally in day-to-day operations.
- Lead the implementation and improvement of performance systems with a focus on continuously improving individual, team, and plant performance.
- Work collaboratively with different functions including supply chain, finance, business transformation, HR, etc. to ensure coordination and support in key areas.
- Coordinate the extended team in optimal usage of the enterprise resource management system (ERP), monitoring and resolving issues.
- Monitor and manage efficiency, and quality, ensuring that we exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Spearhead initiatives focused on constant improvement of leadership and supervision across the facility.
- Monitor operational expenses, find opportunities to reduce costs, without sacrificing product quality.
- Ensure the successful day-to-day operation of the facility in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field.
- 10+ years’ progressive manufacturing leadership and management experience ideally in a food manufacturing facility.
**MUST HAVES**:
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Previous experience and strong understanding of budgeting and expense management.
- Strong computer skills: including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
- Previous experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in a manufacturing facility.
- Previous experience implementing and using continuous improvement and lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.
