In this role as Manager Quality Assurance, you will be an integral member of our Technical team responsible for leadership, direct support, and supervision associated with the implementation and continuous improvement of the Suncor QA Integrity Management System (IMS) leading to plant safety, integrity and reliability at Suncor Base Plant Extraction, Tailings and Mines.

Minimum Requirements:

- 10 years of in-service equipment inspection and engineering experience.
- Oil sands extraction, tailings and mines experience is an asset
- Holds or immediately eligible for API 510, NB and ABSA ISI certifications
- Demonstrated leadership in managing a technical team in a multi-discipline environment.
- Effective communication with Maintenance, Operations, Process and Reliability Engineering team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the implementation of the QA Integrity Management System in area of responsibility
- Ensure available resources are used effectively and available to support the area
- Provide leadership, influence and expertise on matters pertaining to in-service inspection and repair/alterations of boilers, pressure vessels and piping
- Ensure that all required inspections are carried out, documented in accordance with QA IMS and designated procedures
- Exercise independent judgment in providing solutions and recommendations for CFT consideration
- Maintain close relationship with reliability engineering, and all site stakeholders by providing feedback on inspection activities for CFT meetings
- Steward and advise the business on process to maintain inspection compliance

Location and other Key Details:

- You will work out of a Fort McMurray - Base Plant
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- This position is safety sensitive
