**Position**:
**Driver/Collector - Dual Role in Collections/ HTR Departments**

**1. HTR**
- Drives/operates pickup (half-ton) truck one day per week
- Starts early mornings (4:00-4:30am)
- Stages and returns garbage and recycling municipal carts
- Stages and returns compactor bins
- Removes large items from properties and disposes of them
- Collects food waste from unit carts or bins - switches bins and returns clean bins
- Cleans up, when required

**2. Collections**
- Drives/operates Haul-All truck four days per week
- Starts early mornings (6:30-7:00am)
- Follows a designated route; routes change daily
- Dumps garbage and recycling bins, and collects bags at curbs of townhouses (includes throwing bags into truck)
- Takes to local transfer stations or landfill sites in an efficient and appropriate manner; includes removal of bulk items

**Key Attributes**:
Punctual and reliable

Capable of real-time communication; requires working cell phone

Work in all types of outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold

Must be physically fit - heavy lifting (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs)

Advanced driving skills; safety oriented

Navigation skills and mechanically inclined

Works well independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication skills

**Requirements**:
G Driver's Licence

Clean driver’s record for the last 5 years

Steel-toed ankle boots

Working cell phone for daily communications

Resume required

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour, raise within three months
