**As our new Personal Support Worker, you will**:

- Demonstrate awareness of resident-centered care topics (e.g., infection control, continence care, oral/skin care, resident safety, nutrition, dementia, etc.)
- Be skilled and able to prioritize and properly complete tasks effectively without compromising the care and compassion provided to residents even when under stress.
- Follow the Plan of Care, observe and report any substantial changes in resident’s care, overall health, documents change into the system and communicate to the Neighbourhood Coordinator or village Registered team member.
- Respect the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members, and visitors to the Village and addresse any requests with professionalism and care.
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support

**To be successful as our new Personal Support Worker you will**:

- Hold a valid PSW Certificate that is 600 hours or greater and meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities, the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges, or the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association

- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the PSW role
