**THE ROLE**
As the Pension & Benefits Advisor, you plan, organize, design and evaluate Pension and Benefits programs, you plan and develop long range objectives and strategies for pension and benefits programs, you conduct research and development of pension and benefits policies and programs. You will act as an advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing information, interpretation and advice on policies, initiatives, practices, procedures, regulations and legislations as they pertain to the pension and benefits programs and responding to enquiries and providing resolutions within program scope.
As the Pension & Benefits Advisor, you initiate pension and benefits policy amendments to reflect new developments, legislative changes, union initiatives and court/tribunal decisions. You liaise with external organizations, such as consultants, insurance companies, government departments and agencies, in conjunction with appropriate division personnel. You provide support in the renewal of the insured employee benefit plans contracts including funding, design, communication and underwriting provisions, in conjunction with the appropriate division personnel.
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, AND several years of experience in human resources, Pension & Benefits programs or in a related field, AND professional designation in pension and benefits, an asset

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
English or French Essential

- This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
