**Position Information**:
**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts.

**What you will do**:

- Develop and implement tools and job aids for use by the Benefits and Pension team;
- Develop process guidelines, forms, and tools for use by clients (TOH Leaders) and the HR department;
- Consistently review and maintain department tools, job aids, guidelines and processes, and recommends changes to improve process workflows and client satisfaction;
- Provide recommendations, advice and guidance on process improvements through strong knowledge of HR systems, various software/platforms, Excel, etc;
- Analyze tracked metrics to help identify opportunities for improvement and continuously evaluate progress of the teams Key Performance Metrics;
- Develop enhanced reporting capabilities and HR Analytics, providing analytics and data on the benefits and pension programs;
- Perform any special audits or other projects the leader determines are necessitated by special circumstances;
- Provide stakeholders with guidance and support on departmental systems, processes, documentation, and resources;
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on the development of departmental initiatives, educating them on internal processes and making them aware of process improvement opportunities and risks;
- Develop communications, documentation and/or training materials for team, senior management, and other departments as required (e.g., briefing note, presentations, job aids, etc.);
- Assigns tasks, investigations, reporting to team members - follow up on work as appropriate.

**What you will bring**:

- 3-year Community College diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent;
- Three (3) years of experience in pension and benefits administration;
- Knowledge of Federal & Provincial legislation around pension and benefits;
- Experience working with unions and administering collective agreements;
- Experience working in a highly unionized environment;
- Advanced skills in MS Excel;
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Power Point;
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to organize and compile large volumes of data for data trends, auditing and costings, as well as producing reports;
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written;
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, initiative, tact and a high degree of confidentiality;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong organization and time management skills;
- Strong Teamwork skills.

- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) Certificate or Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute (CPBI) Certificate;
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certificate.
