**About the opportunity**
As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible to co-ordinate the smooth flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work throughout the shop ensuring efficiency and deadlines. Specifically:
- Regulate flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work through department to ensure timely completion
- Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
- Schedule shop work to ensure efficiency
- Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
- Assign work to Technicians based on availability and skill set
- Monitor vehicle repair progress
- Review repair orders completed in Technicians to ensure completion of assigned work
- Ensure warranty time allotments on repair orders are accurate for warranty repairs; prepare and reconcile warranty claims/invoices
- Communicate completion times and promises with Service Advisors
**About you.**
- three (3) proven experience scheduling work in an automotive maintenance facility/dealership
- sound vehicle mechanical knowledge
- familiarity with automotive terminology and manufacturer warranties and procedures preferred
- solid understanding of and proven experience with work flow and planning
- proficiency working with ERP systems (ie. CDK), and Microsoft Office software (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
- strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
- ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
- ability to maintain internal controls
- strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
- ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
