**Junior Environmental Planner**

This role will be based in **Toronto, ON.**

**Your role within the team**
- Work with and support senior environmental planners in carrying out and coordination of environmental assessments.
- Conduct desktop research and reporting to support environmental assessments.
- Support efforts to obtain and comply with environmental approvals/permits for projects from government/regulatory agencies (municipal, provincial, and federal).
- Support the development of project schedules and budgets for the environmental component of projects.
- Support projects in across multiple provinces, including Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
- Assist with coordinating Environmental Assessment and permitting processes as it applies to projects.
- Assist with stakeholder consultation programs, including writing communication materials, maintaining stakeholder databases, and reporting.

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, Environmental Science, Geography, or related discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in a variety of sectors (municipal infrastructure, transportation/transit, waste, energy).
- Experience working in a fast paced, consulting environment.
- Desire to continue to learn and adapt skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (Class G or 5).
- Willing to travel.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload to manage multiple assignments at one time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
