Manager, Global Customized Training

Located in the heart of the Niagara Region - just minutes from one of the world’s most well-known tourism destinations - Niagara College’s Global Engagement Division works with global partners to create, consult, and educate to catalyze sustainable change. With over 150 experts and seven sectors of expertise, the Global Engagement Division has worked clients in over 65 countries to help build capacity and provide exceptional training experiences.
Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Global Customized Training and Consulting in the Global Engagement Division, located at the Niagara Corporate Business Centre located next to the Daniel J. Patterson Campus. The salary range is $77,520 to $96,900 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary, including possible evenings and weekends due to visiting delegations and contract groups.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Lead the development, negotiation, securing and execution of contracts with partners globally for inbound contract training
- Conduct needs assessments working with Global Business Development Managers and global partners to identify customized training and consulting needs of global partners.
- Oversee the delivery of global customized training and consulting and, in cooperation with other Niagara College departments and program areas, to provide oversight and quality assurance for the delivery of all project activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Canadian and global partners including but not limited to, governments, and educational institutes, to actively pursue global customized training and consulting opportunities consistent with the College’s strategic plan.
- Negotiate program deliverables, costs, and draft training agreements with international clients.
- Ensure adherence to specifics of agreements and client contracts including monitoring, reporting, and fiscal responsibility within prescribed deadlines and provide conflict resolution if necessary.
- Develop and monitor expense and revenue budgets (both operating and project-specific).
- Work with NC team members including administrators, faculty, and support staff to ensure a high-level of performance through effective recruiting, selecting, hiring, developing, motivating, evaluating, and training of staff assigned to global customized training and consulting projects.
- Provide strategic feedback to the Senior Director, Global Engagement, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to implement the goals, priorities, policies, and metrics of the NC global reach agenda.
- Work with marketing to create reports, presentations, and marketing materials/campaigns to increase awareness and engagement of Global Customized Training and Consulting programs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide GCTC presentations and updates to both internal and external stakeholders to build awareness and support development of new contracts.
- Work with contract student services and other areas across the department to resolve student issues and continuously work at creating the best student experience possible.
- Establish and foster a working environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and exemplary communication among staff to promote and grow global engagement activities at Niagara College.

**Qualifications**:

- Four (4) year degree in humanities, social sciences, education, business, public administration, international/global development, or similar fields of study with a focus on training.
- A minimum of 7 years of international education management experience.
- Experience working in a postsecondary environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Sound knowledge of contract negotiations.
- Strong financial and human resource management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management skills.
- Second language skills an asset.
- Additional education/certification in international/global development and/or project management considered an asset.
- Willingness to work some irregular hours based on operational needs
- Willingness to travel globally for projects as required
