This position is responsible for the planning, preparation, and painting of industrial equipment at a high level of skill and quality.

**specific accountabilities**
- Order and track an inventory of materials required to paint industrial equipment
- At times use power washer and/or additional cleaners to remove dirt, adhesives, and grease from industrial equipment
- Complete body work: repairing minor dents, filling holes, etc.
- Perform basic metal and plastic welding to repair damaged panels
- Mix paint and set-up spray guns required to paint material handling equipment
- Ability to operate the following tools: Spray Gun, Grinder
- Decal and re-assemble trucks as required
- Collaborate with sales/service division to prioritize work and maximize product output.
- Accurately complete paperwork necessary to capture time and materials used to finish jobs
- Operate a forklift to move equipment within the shop
- Perform safety and quality checks
- Keep work area clean and tidy
- Train other employees as required
**minimum qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Basic math, tape measurement and computer skills
- Basic experience with paint tools
- Able to understand and comprehend measurement
- Basic mechanical aptitude
**preferred qualifications**
- Previous experience painting in an industrial and/or automotive environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Expertise in utilizing various spray-painting tools and equipment
**physical requirements**
This job requires the individual to stand, for extended periods of time. They will be required to squat, bend, stoop, reach overhead or kneel. The individual should be able to lift 35lbs. This job consists of repetitive work.
