AltaGas - Maintenance Summer Student, Fort Saskatchewan

What You'll Do:

- Maintain a safe work environment by prioritizing the safety and well-being of yourself and others.
- Get hands-on experience with painting buildings, signage, and piping.
- Maintain the plant's aesthetics with grass cutting, tree-pruning, maintaining flower beds, and general cleanup.
- Provide administrative support to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Assist with organizing the warehouse and stocking shelves.
- Support Operations and Maintenance personnel as required (i.e. picking up supplies from town, entering work orders, documenting procedures, etc.).
- General site cleanup and disposal.
- Engage in special projects to broaden your skills and knowledge.

What You Have:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s AB license.
- Ability to work from early May to late August 2025.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or labour role is considered an asset.
- A strong safety mindset, and a collaborative team player
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Self-starter, with a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with oil and gas terminology is a bonus.
- WHIMIS, First Aid, and H2S Alive certifications are a bonus.
- Forklift or skid steer certification is a bonus.
