Position: Back of House Staff
**Job Summary**:
The Restaurant back of house staff is a multifaceted role responsible for overseeing the operations of the restaurant while also actively participating in food preparation and cooking. This position requires strong collaboration skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on kitchen responsibilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure accuracy in receiving quality food deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Follow strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Performing opening and closing tasks.
- Maintain health and safety records.
- Work closely with front of house staff to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet guest needs.
- Support team members during peak hours to maintain efficiency.
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, suggesting improvements and innovations.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing concerns and monitoring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
- Manage inventory levels and make note of when supplies need to be ordered as necessary.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on promotions and events.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in restaurant management and culinary roles.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Culinary expertise with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with POS System and cash handling
- Smart Serve and Food Handling Certification
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in both kitchen and restaurant settings.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
