Calibre Coatings Ltd. is looking to hire a qualified and career minded Estimator to join our growing team. Estimators report to the Chief Estimator and/or General Manager and are responsible for obtaining Commercial Painting & Decorating related work in Calgary and surrounding area.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Detailed estimate preparation for services that Calibre Coatings provides.
- Prepare detailed quantity surveys and cost/time estimates.
- Prepare all submission documents such as execution plans, schedules, bonds, qualifications, charge out rates, etc.
- Develop, promote and manage relationships with clients.
- Prepare, issue, receive, review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
- Analyze drawings, specifications and other tender documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Incorporate addenda to plans and specifications into ongoing estimates.
- Interpret and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the initial planning and scheduling of projects through preparation of schedules, ordering of materials, etc.
- Prepare production budgets from awarded tenders.
- Assist in change pricing for awarded projects.

**Skills and/or Qualifications**
- Experience in the commercial construction industry as an Estimator.
- Strong understanding of estimating methods and procedures.
- Adept in time management.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and solve complex problems.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, with ability to effectively convey ideas and thoughts both orally and in writing.
- Valid & unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license.
- Experience using computerized estimating/take off software.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
