**Job Overview**:
Our client is working on a federally regulated site at the Port of Vancouver Authority and are looking for an additional Traffic Control Person to join their team for the remainder of the 2/3 year project.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and around construction sites using hand signals, signs, and other designated traffic control devices.
Implement traffic control plans and follow established procedures to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic.
Monitor construction site entrances and exits to regulate the movement of vehicles and equipment.
Communicate effectively with construction crews, supervisors, and the public to coordinate traffic control activities and address any concerns or issues.
Inspect traffic control devices and equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, including traffic volumes, incidents, and any other relevant information.
Assist with the setup and takedown of traffic control zones as needed.
Adhere to all applicable safety regulations, including those outlined by WorkSafeBC and local authorities.**Requirements**:

- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification
Previous experience working as a Traffic Control Person or in a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of traffic control principles, techniques, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with traffic control devices and equipment is an asset.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to access site.
