Damage Claims Analyst

**Job Description**:
***Please note this will be a 12 month contract**
The Damage Claims Analyst works within the Logistics & Trade Compliance department, and is responsible for managing and administering the damage claims and working with dealers and service providers for Auto & MCPE, ensuring overall support and efficiency for claims and across domains.
**Responsibilities**
- Review and analyze dealer claims and pay claims based on the validity of the claims.
- Prepare claims to file against carriers/insurers or compounds.
- Reconcile carrier accounts and ensure the carrier claims get paid.
- Support and assist the dealers in dealing with damaged product and their transit damage claims.
- Facilitate damage claims for severely damaged units and write offs for Auto/MCPE.
- Facilitate warehouse MCPE claims.
- Handle disputed claims with carriers/insurers or compounds and making adjustments when required.
- Report on claims activity (number of claims, amount paid in claims) and carriers non-payments.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Must have completed College diploma or minimum three years in related experience.
- Must entail excellent PC Skills - including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Access.
- Must entail strong reasoning, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong Communication skills, ability to build collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
- Must entail excellent telephone manners and customer service skills.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have good research and analytical ability.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills, ability to create solutions to everyday issues.
- Must have strong ability to handle multiple priorities with conflicting demands and tight deadlines.
- Ability to be decisive, take initiative, and display integrity and strong attention to detail.
- A background in claims processing and Logistics is preferred.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships and all members of the team.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts.
