**Summary**
The Cycle Counter is responsible for cycle counting inventory on hand and to reconcile cycle count to perpetual inventory in order to maintain accuracy of inventory system.
**Reporting Structure**
Reports to the Materials Manager.
**Duties Include**:
The Cycle Counter is accountable for all aspects of counting and reconciling on hand inventory:
- Performs physical count of inventory items by pre-determined schedule, as well as upon request.
- Reconciles discrepancies between physical count and system on hand inventory by: Verifying receiving transactions
Assuring current work orders are backflushed, or included in calculation of discrepancy
- Completes inventory adjustment form, and submits for approval.
- Enters adjustments into computer system once approval is obtained.
- The Cycle Counter will also be cross trained to act as backup for the Production Scheduler to assure coverage in case of absence.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure open and timely communication between departments.
- Follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures and all internal policies and procedures
**Education, Skills and Experience**
- Relevant University/College education preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office Experience
- Experience with an MRP system
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team.
- Well developed problem solving skills with the ability to deal with internal and external contacts in a proactive and collaborative manner
- Excellent written and spoken English
**Physical / Environmental Demands**
- Non air conditioned manufacturing environment where exposure to seasonal heat and humidity is present
- Exposure to noise and moving machinery - PPE is required
- Ability to manually lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
