Reporting to the Safety Risk Management Lead, the Enterprise Safety Advisor will be responsible for the development, delivery, and
strategic implementation of corporate programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risks and hazards to all employees, the public,
implementation strategies, milestones and management system indicators/measures for the strategic development of corporate
safety initiatives.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Lead the development of Occupational Safety & Health policies, procedures, and rules with input from Field Safety Advisors,

Workplace Safety and Health Committees, Management, and employees.
- Provide expertise by participating in or leading multi-disciplinary and cross business unit teams/committees as required.
- Maintain expert knowledge of legislation with respect to Occupational Safety and Health to interpret and provide advice

regarding legislated requirements to Field Safety Advisors, Workplace Safety and Health Committees, Management, and
employees.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of new and existing workplace safety programs.
- Subject matter contact for the Safety Management System.
- Develop safety policies, rules and standards and programs based on provincial and federal regulations and standards.
- Lead High Risk incident investigations using established investigative techniques and processes.
- Provide on-call support after hours for the incident reporting line as scheduled.
- Develop safety policies, rules and standards, and programs based on provincial and federal regulations and standards and

prepare administrative and procedural directives related to workplace safety issues. This includes conducting analysis and
research, development of reports and preparation of briefing notes and effectively communicating same on a corporate scale.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to Field Safety Advisors, Workplace Safety & Health Committees to assist them in

carrying out their responsibilities including assessments, inspections, and investigations of Occupational Safety issues.
- Provide Occupational Safety and Health training to Field Safety Officers, Workplace Safety & Health Committees, managers,

and employees as required.
**_ Qualifications:_**
- Minimum Grade 12 education plus a Manitoba Hydro Trades Certificate or equivalent as determined by Manitoba Hydro with

seven years' experience, of which five years must be related to safety, and a Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
OR
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Occupational Safety & Health) plus five years of related safety experience.
- Standing as a CRSP by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals would be considered an asset.
- Possess a working knowledge of provincial and federal legislation, codes of practice and guidelines relating to Occupational

Safety & Health.

**NOTES**:

- Depending on operational requirements, a headquarter zone and work location other than 360 Portage, Winnipeg, may be

considered.
- May be required to work at other locations within the province by air, land, water, and where transportation between these

sites may be by small aircraft.
**_ Salary Range_**

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $4
