**The Opportunity**:
IMP’s corporate IT department currently has an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Analyst.

**What You Will Do**:

- Work closely with business end users to understand priorities and impact and provide timely response on status of critical systems.
- Proactively identify and act on emerging issues and work with others in the IT department to resolve them. Many of these issues require a rapid response and the ability to arrive at a workaround or solution.

- Make recommendations on process improvements and enhance system and support documentation.
- Provide training to end users.

**What You Need to Succeed**:

- A strong desire to learn business processes and the software used
- Strong analytical skills
- Database software management tools experience
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Exposure to mid-size business software systems and ticket tracking software

**Education**:

- BEng, BSc or equivalent certificate from a recognized institution, or a related field of equivalent practical professional experience

**Security**:
Be able to pass and maintain relevant security clearances:

- Public Services and Procurement Canada
- Transport Canada
- U.S. International Traffic In Arms Regulations
- Canadian Controlled Goods Program
- Level II (Secret) with the Department of National Defense
