In this role, you’ll support a wide range of projects—from cutting samples to small-scale productions of up to 30 pieces. As a **Production Assistant**, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our development process running smoothly and efficiently.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

30-40 Hours per week

$20-$25: Experience dependent

**Qualifications**
- Familiar with garment construction, sewing
- Ability to identify garment pattern shapes
- Demonstrated knowledge of various fabrics, including linings, interfacings, etc. and handling unstable fabrics and specialty fabrics
- Experience with spreading fabric onto a large table in preparation for cutting
- Good understanding of têxtile terminology and characteristics of woven and knit fabrics.
- Good work ethic, communications skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
- Self-accountability
- Assess, diagnose and make necessary repairs/adjustments when the machine is not performing to quality standards
- Ability to communicate issues clearly to others
- English speaking
- Valid driver’s license

**Responsibilities**
- Operate cutting machine, select correct program and layout fabrics correctly
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise and improve areas of productivity when possible
- Ability to recognize defective fabric or inconsistency in fabric and distinguish color variations
- Identify unusable fabric or fabric issues that may be production problems prior to cutting
- Maintaining records of fabric utilization and inventory
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safety
- Comfortable being on your feet for 8 hours
- Comfortable working in a high energy, high production environment that is ever-changing
- Perform all tasks in a safe and conscientious manner
- Assist with other production tasks when necessary
- Driving company vehicle from our HQ to factories and our Warehouse when necessary
- Assisting with quality control of finished garments and raw materials
- Team support in areas beyond design and production. This includes but is not limited to, shipping and receiving, photoshoot assistance, and warehouse sales.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required
