Job Title: Canine Hydrotherapist and Rehabilitation Specialist
The Pawsh Dog Wellness Centre, a leading facility in canine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, is urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated individual with a background in canine physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and/or rehabilitation to join our team as our Head Hydrotherapist. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offer flexible hours.
Our facility is large, sunny, and well-equipped, featuring a private office with a padded massage and examination table. We have a large in-gound warm hydrotherapy pool for dogs, an underwater treadmill, a jog-a-dog treadmill, and a dryland gym with a padded floor and fitdog equipment. Our location is adjacent to a veterinary clinic, providing easy access to veterinary supervision if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop customized treatment plans for dogs of various breeds, ages, and medical conditions.
- Provide hydrotherapy sessions, utilizing our state-of-the-art pool and underwater treadmill.
- Perform physiotherapy and rehabilitation exercises in our dryland gym, using fit dog equipment.
- Collaborate with our neighboring veterinarian to ensure the best possible care for our canine clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate pet owners on the benefits of hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, as well as home care techniques for continued progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience in canine physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and/or rehabilitation is required.
- Certification in Canine Rehabilitation (CCRP or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and their pets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the neighboring veterinarian.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to continued education and staying current on the latest developments in canine rehabilitation.
