International Pool and Spa Centers is the leading distributor, retail, and service provider of hot tubs, swimming pools, and recreational products in southern Ontario. We have 8 retail locations across Ontario, a fast-growing online business, and the largest fiberglass pool construction division in Ontario. We are a family-run and owned business that has been in operation for over 40 years.

**Position Purpose**:Under the direction of the Store Manager, the **Retail Sales Associate**is responsible for performing an array of functions that may include assisting customers in identifying and selecting products, as well as working as a part of a team to keep the store environment clean, safe, organized and customer-friendly.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**include but are not limited to the following:

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting incoming customers, directing customers to the appropriate product area, and assisting customers with their purchases.
- Perform cashier duties, including processing customer transactions, orders, and refunds.
- Work in partnership with Store Managers and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence
- Assess customer needs and offer solutions.
- Complete the customer experience by suggesting value-added, related items.
- Ensure that the products are merchandised to company standards.
- Participate in promotional activities.
- Restock shelves and displays.
- Cleaning, pricing, and ticketing of stock products.
- Answer phones; take messages and direct calls.

**Other Duties& Responsibilities**
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
- Periodic inventory counts.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness as well as a good shopping environment according to the company’s standards.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Participate in all manner of store maintenance
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Other duties as assigned.

**Desired Competencies & Qualifications**:

- 1 year of retail sales experience and a background in customer service ideal but not mandatory
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- First AID/CPR certification is an asset but not required.
