**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a unique individual to be part of a dynamic team in Mississauga. Based out of the Mississauga, ON office, and with a focus on recruiting, this person will provide HR support services Nationally across Canada. **We are looking for a talented individual with a few years of related experience, who can commit to a full-time contract role with a 12-month duration. This is mostly work-from-home, with the requirement to work from the office or at a job site depending on business requirements.**

With a strong focus on **recruiting and HR administration**, you will also be involved with employee onboarding and offboarding, and other HR-related activities including **local job sites visits.**

**Responsibilities include**:
**2.** **Administration**: Ensuring all employment-related data and files are kept current. This includes benefits and RRSP administration, new hire set-up, entering employment-related changes into QM systems including Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Clarity (in-house payroll system) and UKG, keeping employee files updated, drafting letters such as offer letters, promotions, etcetera**.**

**3. **Employee Relations and Engagement**: Creates a positive work environment for all partners. Including employee check-ins with timely response to inquiries, exit interviews, organizing events, site visits, etcetera.

**4. **Other**: Working as part of a team with both HR and payroll, with additional responsibilities for developing and implementing other HR-related projects, programs, and activities.

**Your Experience and Qualities**

Ideally, your Human Resources experience includes a minimum of two to five years of related experience in the following areas
- **_Experience using multiple social media and digital recruiting tools is a strong asset_**:

- **_Experience within a unionized environment_**:

- **_General human resources experience_**:

- **_Payroll & general HR/Payroll/Benefits administration_**

Experience in the following industries/companies is preferred, but not required
- **_Experience in HR/recruiting within the environmental remediation, hazardous materials and abatement, emergency management and environmental response services, demolition or construction industry in Canada_**

**Additional Requirements**
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Proficiency in English, both verbally and written
- A valid Driver's License
- CHRP/CHRL designation considered an asset
- Ability to work occasional overtime on evenings and weekends
