OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Forklift Driver to join our team on a 12‑hour continental night shift. This role is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and storing materials to support warehouse and production operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties, authority and responsibilities include the following (other duties and responsibilities may be assigned):
- Cycle count accurately to correct inventory errors only after verifying with Leadership
- Pick and load outbound shipments to customers without damage in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and damage free warehouse
- Ensure that the Automated Stretch Wrappers remains working efficiently and in proper working capacity
- Continuously monitor and maintain system dunnage levels (slip sheets, wrapper film, empty pallets, etc.)
- Finish production room processes by wrapping finish goods (if applicable), and performing. Move on product coming directly off the wrapper and proceeding to scan goods to storage location
- Understand and abide by all set standards and guidelines within the Warehouse Department
- Load / unload and troubleshoot logistics equipment (Wrappers / Dock Locks / Garage Doors / Battery Charging Stations)
- Take and score highly on all GDC Training course deemed necessary by Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
- Responsible for placing product in designated rows in warehouse neatly and evenly
- Communicate with warehouse and production leadership daily
- Responsible for loading trucks to customer specifications; verify quantity, product, labeling and packaging is correct
- General housekeeping of warehouse and dock areas
- Ensure all trailers are properly inspected and corresponding documentation is filled out properly prior to loading
- Use problem-solving skills to handle situations that may arise
- Any other tasks or projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have Fork Truck Operating License
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs multiple times a day
- Prior DC Link experience preferred
- Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 30 times an hour
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others
- Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness
- Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on forklifts
- Stereoptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12-point font at a distance of 12-18 inches
- Ability to lift 45 pounds over shoulder height a minimum of 10 times per hour
- Able to work in extremes of heat / cold
- Able to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building
- Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex
- Prior experience in fast-paced warehouse environment is highly preferred
- Position requires consistent attention to detail.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and over-time.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment. Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Work
