Class 1 Truck Driver with Picker/Crane Operating Experience Location: Fort McMurray (Fort Mac) Area Shift: To be agreed upon Start Date: Immediate

We are a reputable company serving the Fort McMurray (Fort Mac) area, specializing in the safe and efficient transportation of goods. As our operations continue to expand, we are currently seeking a skilled Class 1 Truck Driver with Picker/Crane Operating experience to join our team.

As a Class 1 Truck Driver with Picker/Crane Operating experience, you will be responsible for the transportation and delivery of goods within the Fort Mac area. You will operate a Class 1 commercial truck to safely and efficiently transport various materials and equipment to designated locations. In addition, your role will involve the operation of a picker/crane to load and unload cargo as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 commercial truck to transport goods and materials.
- Load and unload cargo using a picker/crane, ensuring proper securing of the load for transportation.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects or malfunctions.
- Follow established routes and schedules, while adapting to any changes or detours as necessary.
- Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe driving experience.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and resolve any issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the truck and picker/crane, ensuring they are in proper working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service while representing the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating a picker/crane, with the ability to load, unload, and secure cargo effectively.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with the Fort McMurray (Fort Mac) area and surrounding regions.
- Excellent driving skills, including maneuvering in various weather and road conditions.
- Ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and nights, as required.
- Valid certifications for operating a picker/crane, including any additional safety training.
- Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset.
