**Certified Journeyperson Trades Position - Maintenance Crew**

We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated and proactive tradesperson to join our maintenance team here at Edson Forest Products.

As a key player in our sawmill maintenance team, you will be responsible to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our machinery and equipment.

**You'll Do**:

- Welding and gouging on a wide range of equipment and machinery
- Performing repairs and rebuilding mill components
- Fabrication and welding of multiple material types
- Assisting other trades throughout the mill
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Conducting routine inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly
- Implementing preventive maintenance strategies to extend the lifespan of machinery

**You have**:

- Certified Trade Journeyperson
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, with strong problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in maintenance within a sawmill or similar industrial setting
- Ability to read drawings and identify equipment components
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures within an industrial setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
- Good with working at heights
- Great troubleshooting skills
