**Qualifications**:
Hold a Diploma of College Studies in techniques de gestion des services alimentaires (food service management) or techniques de diététique (dietetics) or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

**Other Requirements**:

- Bilingualism
- Prior work experience in professional cooking or pastry establishments would be a strong asset. Or a DEP in Professional Cooking or Pastry Making
- Knowledge of food industry purchasing, ordering and receiving procedures
- Be able to safely handle medium to heavy loads
- Basic understanding of safety and safe practices pertaining to the food industry and the handling of food
- Experience operating and maintaining commercial food service equipment
- Experience with inventory control
- Ability to assess and implement maintenance schedules, with regard to equipment and work spaces
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills

**Nature of the work**

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in helping management or professional staff of food services by carrying out technical work, such as participating in the preparation of menus, quality control of meals and cost studies.

**Daily Tasks/Dossiers**

**_ 50% task will be in the Boutique :_**
- Serve the Customers in a professional manner
- Propose weekly production per day. (See teachers planning)
- Fill and refill: - Display shelves, refrigerated display counter; etc;
- Keep packaging inventory ready to use: - Bread Bags, cake boxes, poly bas
- Keep the Boutique clean: - Dry good shelves, remove shelves from refrigerator display counter, keep display windows clean,
- Presentation & Labels: - make sure products are labelled properly, selling goods are well displayed
- Closing: Balance your cash, window curtains are down

**_
50% of the task as Food Tech:_**
- Prepare trolleys
- Empty trolleys
- Keep trolleys clean, stockroom clean
- Prepare daily dairy products in refrigerators
- Place food orders on timely basis
- Plan inventory for 8 days of production.
- Take care of receiving and putting away food orders
- Make labels for food products being sold
- Food costing of all the recipes.
- Keep a copy of all invoices for reference.
- Make sure to get Chef Tech orders in on time. (min. 2 weeks ahead)
- Be able to keep records through Excel.
