**TRAINING SPECIALIST - RED DEER (RDC)**

Reporting to the Training Team Lead, this role will assist in providing operational and technical instruction and/or training in a professional manner to new and current employees at Trican. Other ad hoc support to the Training department will be required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
- Instruct a wide variety of programs for all ranges of field work by corresponding with specific service lines
- Must quickly understand Trican’s core values and demonstrate these values consistently through personal conduct
- Provide feedback regarding training presentation methods best suited to individual course content and target audience
- Convey ideas on course content to instructional designer such as procedure (operational) manuals, and certification tests
- Assist and/or facilitate the teaching of specific programs and procedures in a classroom environment
- Perform in-field training to give hands on experience to Trican employees
- Help source, design, and improve course content and programs
- Travel as required to other bases in all 3 operating provinces or job sites in Western Canada

Experience & Skills:

- Valid Class 1 Driver's licence would be an asset
- High school diploma is an asset
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Oilfield Services is preferred
- Position will be located in Red Deer but out of province travel is required
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Physically fit - heavy lifting required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques

Working Conditions:

- Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm with travel sometimes required outside main hours
- Working in all weather conditions
