**About the Role**:
The House of Commons is currently looking to staff two Human Resources Business Partner positions.

The HR Business Partner is a reliable and strategic advisor to leaders in designated business units on people management through an HR generalist’s lens and leveraging a broad understanding of the business, on the development and effective delivery of HR services and programs that support and reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP devises and advises on HR strategies, including workforce planning, and acts as an employee champion and change agent.

**Responsibilities**
- Analyze workforce data to model and forecast future labor requirements and trends.
- Develop insights from exiting employees (exit interviews, post-employment feedback, etc.).
- Leverage HR analytics tools to track trends over time.
- Challenge business leaders’ assumptions - interpretation, to support decision-making and HR strategy.
- Analyze employee engagement survey data and provide recommendations to management to improve engagement.
- Develop and nurture relationships across the Administration. Report to relevant business units and business leaders on an ongoing basis.
- In collaboration with corporate HRS functions, lead or significantly contribute to the development and implementation of projects. Influence based on knowledge of the business unit reality.
- Works with other HBPS to share and refine best practices and develop consistent approaches on common themes and joint problem solving.
- Work with business leaders to identify critical skills gaps and support the development of programs to business units.
- Proactively advice and support on the development of change management strategies for the organization and business units. Support and coach a network of change champions to assist with impending change.
- Effectively partner with cross-functional partners and the broader HR team to build a better employee experience.

**Prerequisites**

**Education**:

- A University Degree and or Diploma in Human Resources Management, or a related field, or have equivalent generalist knowledge of, and experience in, the broad theories and principles of human resources, and extensive experience in at least two human resources disciplines.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience providing various HR services;
- Experience developing and maintaining client relations OR strategic partnerships in a human resources environment.
- Experience in the development of tools, guides and/or communications relating to workforce planning or reporting.
- Experience in conducting workforce data analytics to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and presenting the analysis to clients.
- Experience in leading projects.
- Knowledge and experience providing strategic business and operational plans; project management, supporting strategic workforce transformation plans, develop and manage a variety of human resources projects.
