The student (operations support) supports the distribution supervisors and administrative team in the accomplishment of the daily tasks. The operations support student is responsible for the daily planning and management of the retail distribution and proximity teams in Ontario. He/she will replace team members during vacation periods and as required by operational needs. More specifically, the incumbent will:
DESCRIPTION
- Assists distribution supervisors in the preparation of daily reports, transportation schedules, customer delivery details
- Assists supervisors in route management, optimization of documentation (update files)
- Assists administrative staff in reports and other daily tasks
- Works closely with our internal teams to respond to external customer request
- Supports the tracking of gps data
- Ensure the smooth running of delivery operations from Tuesday to Saturday and on public holidays.
- Prepares various analyses
- Replace the supervisor and cover for vacation weeks
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- In the process of obtaining a certificate/accreditation in logistics or a BA/BSC with a concentration in transportation or operations management or any other field relevant to the job.
- Available to work between 16 to 24 hours/week with full time during the summer period and potential availability during holiday periods
- Good knowledge and interest in various computer tools, good knowledge of Excel
- Good judgment, ability to work under pressure and good management of priorities
- Good autonomy
