**Description**:
The student working in Inspection and Public Safety will, in the execution of his duties, to fulfill secretarial functions.
**Departmental mission**:
Contribute to citizens’ quality of life by enforcing Pointe-Claire by-laws and protecting Pointe-Claire territory with integrity and vigilance.
**General responsibilities and goals**:
Working in the Inspection and Public Security department, the person will be responsible for the following:
- Carrying out general office work such as data entry, transmission, and compilation; preparing file materials; filing; photocopying; etc.
- Transcribing letters, tables, reports, texts, financial statements, or any other document, using information provided.
- Proofreading documents to ensure correct spelling, grammar, and formatting of texts and transcriptions; making any necessary corrections.
- Receiving and transferring phone calls; taking messages and forwarding them to the appropriate parties; receiving visitors.
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and various documents.
- Performing any other related task.
**Job requirements**:
- Must be enrolled at the college level (DEC)
- Bilingualism and a good knowledge of English and French grammar
- Knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
**Schedule**:
35 hours per week
Monday to Thursday inclusively, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., minus 45 minutes for lunch; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
