**Job Title: Bookkeeper**
**Reports To: Financial Controller**
**Salary : CAD $ 48,000 to $ 55,000**
Position Summary
Accountable for the preparation and oversight of timely, accurate, and responsive budget and reporting processes, as well as updating processes to support growth. This will be achieved through strong communication skills, being detail oriented, and working in a fast-paced environment.
**Banking and Accounting Duties**
- Post bank deposits, service charges, miscellaneous items, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Follow up with Store Manager/Supervisor to investigate any missing deposits/incorrect charges.
- Download bank statements and specific data required.
- Setup/Update bank accounts for stores
- Maintain relationships with banking institutions.
- Process Payroll EFT biweekly
- 1st/2nd approval as needed on wires and EFTs.
**Landlord Rents**
- Code and key all landlord rents with appropriate vendors in ERP.
- Process landlord rents based on % of sales for those required.
- Report sales monthly to landlords
- Allocate insurance certificates to landlords (annually)
- Update and track landlord leases thru ERP app
**Reconciliation and Reporting**
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and post entries as required.
- Reconcile POS data mapping
- Maintain and update Capital Assets file and process monthly depreciation
- Maintain and update Prepaids file and process costs as required
- Account analytics - budget vs actuals and review cost efficiencies at all times
- Post COGS allocations for DM expenses and any marketing/supplies allocations
- Post product inventory movement to and between stores
- Prepare weekly DM Flash Report
- Prepare and send Monthly Store P&L statements
- Process any required month end accrual and reversals
- Prepare Dry Cleaning partner reports and provide to AP for payment processing
- Work with Financial Controller to create annual budget
- Upload budget to ERP and POS systems once approved
- **Support Functions**:
- Work with executive team for finance support when Financial Controller is unavailable
- Help to train team and document accounting processes as they develop
- AP processing and payments when required
- AR processing and receipts when required
- **Required Skills and Knowledge**_
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles
- 3-5 years general accounting experience
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail
- High level of accuracy
- Highly Organized
- Effectively Manages Time
- Customer Oriented Approach
- Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
**Salary**: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
