**Role Definition**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Over-all janitorial duties including emptying waste containers from the office, washrooms, common areas, and inside the plant facility
- Check and fill soap, sanitizer, sanitation chemicals, and paper towel dispensers
- Breakdown/discard recycled waste and food waste
- Clean floors frequently with a mop and/or electric floor cleaner
- Takes care of spills on the production floor
- Clean and general sanitization of plant work areas including disassembling/assembling tools & equipment according to company procedures
- Power wash and rinse designated areas including drains
- Maintain inventory of chemical and cleaning supplies
- General cleanliness of the outer premises
- Complete all necessary related documentation
- All sanitation duties must be completed prior to the end of the shift
- Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMP/HACCP/BRC an asset
- Trained in the safe use, handling, and measurement of sanitation chemicals and possess basic knowledge in health & safety regulations & WHMIS2015
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs)
- Good time management skills, punctual and reliable
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Read, write, and understand the English language
- Communicate and cooperate with management and coworkers
- Shift flexibility required; possibly to include weekends
- Willing to work overtime as required

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

- Food facility Sanitation: 2 years (preferred)
