- **Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.**

**5 years' residence in the country**

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicate staffing needs to the department manager or recruiters, assisting with talent identification and interviewing.
- Ensure that safety professionals receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; this also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, discipline, performance appraisals, recognition, etc.)
- Ensure that the employee's voice is heard with the help of the appropriate department, the Director of Human Resources and Services or the General Manager.
- Help communicate company policies, announcements and job opportunities.
- Create a respectful workspace.

**Enforcement of Contract Standards**:

- Help Service Manager identify, meet and exceed the needs of the customer.
- Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
- Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client specific training and annual refresher training for security personnel.
- Reconcile security logs against shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports prior to submitting to manager and coordinate preliminary investigations.
- Perform account audits and off-hour visits, completing required documentation.
- Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.

**Administrative management**:

- Administer site safety programs outlining site-specific hazards for security guards, including vehicle and driving safety, in accordance with company procedures.
- Be prepared to attend unemployment insurance hearings.
- Effectively utilize WinTeam for scheduling and billing purposes, and prepare reports (such as scheduling activity reports, training details, etc.) for effective management of business needs.
- Implement Allied Universal policies as outlined in manuals and memos.

**Criteria of a quality safety professional**:

- Be punctual and complete scheduled shifts (including overtime, if applicable).
- Professional appearance and uniform.
- Behave in a courteous and professional manner and provide quality customer service.
- Be a good communicator (both oral and written) and able to handle typical and crisis situations effectively and efficiently.

**Qu**alifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid Montreal Security Licence (BSP).
- Experience required will generally be determined by size of account and resulting scope of business and management expertise needed.
- Generally: one year of security experience and one year of supervisory experience.
- More advanced: BA or equivalent experience plus 3 years supervisory experience.
- Good to excellent verbal and written skills.
- Problem identification and solving skills.
- Ability to make good decisions (judgment and common sense).
- Financial / mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested.
- Reliable transportation to get to work site.
- Well motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
