If you are an experienced Furniture Maker, we invite you to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Furniture Maker who already possesses high level wood working skills and a passion for well-crafted case goods furniture design and product. Experience with multiple materials, including metal and stone assembly with are considered expectations as we work with custom furniture on a daily basis. The Furniture Maker will be responsible for:

- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications when required.
- Complete all carpentry and installation work of numerous materials, for complicated custom furniture pieces, exactly to the drawings and specifications.
- Ensure precision and the highest quality.
- Determine best method for construction with design, and identify drawing flaws that will fail regular use, and handling.
- Work with design team to ensure item and parts will be designed best to allow for joinery and finished carpentry work.
- Estimate item complete timelines accurately to production manager.
- Must work and assist lower-level wood workers and properly train techniques across the team.
- Able to install all kinds of hardware including custom types, as well as drawer slides.
- Experienced veneering of flat and rounded surfaces manually.
- Knowledge of veneering and edging.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a carpenter or custom furniture maker.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction estimating.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with furniture making.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A passion for craftsmanship and creativity in design.

Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Furniture Making: 5 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
