Murray, Sen & Associates CPA LLP provides accounting, assurance, tax, and business advisory services to a wide variety of owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Our skilled team of professionals is vital to provide exceptional service to our valued clients. We are seeking experienced CPAs to be part of our growing practice as a manager.

Summary of responsibilities
- Review of working paper files for compilation and assurance engagements including all required forms, draft financial statements, corporate tax returns, and all regular filings such as T4’s, T5’s, and GST
- Provide support to clients on general questions regarding year-end and bookkeeping issues
- Review of personal tax returns
- Assist with the development, training, and mentoring of staff
- Ability to identify and suggest improvements for our client’s business operations, including tax planning
- Effective communication with our clients, with government agencies, and with our partners and staff
- Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
- Overtime will be required for this position at times to complete jobs and meet client deadlines. Overtime can be banked and used as time off with pay as long as it is used by the end of the year

Qualifications and experience
- CPA designation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public practice
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with Accounting Standards for private Enterprises and Accounting Standards for Not-for-profit Organizations and Canadian Auditing Standards
- Previous experience in Caseware, Jazz-it, Taxprep computer programs, In depth tax or tax planning for owner-managed businesses will be considered an asset
