Our Co-op Technicians, Heavy Equipment will train with our trusted Technicians to maintain steady progression into a future Apprentice Technician position.
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on site visits

**Job Qualifications**
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary education related to Heavy Duty Equipment mechanics
- Experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field (highly valued)
- Safety conscious
- A basic knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication
- Self-Directed team player
- Strong computer skills and any familiarity with Cat systems (highly valued)
