**Job Summary**

Build relationships internally/externally and develop market scope breakdown to increase sales and profitability for Ontario's light rail projects, externally to understand the scope of all the projects and which GC's, Subtrades and influencers will be involved. Internally navigate the operational processes to ensure a seamless experience by the customers within the districts. Drive sales by creating, executing and communicating programs and plans to grow sales for the organization.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities**

** ** Develops and maintains business relationships. Strategically plans customer visits to cultivate relationships, perform presentations, offer innovative programs and communicate plans with the districts.

** ** Effectively communicates competitive strengths and develops strategy to acquire competitive business.

** ** Research, develops and acquires account opportunities.

** ** Develops and executes profitable business plans by researching in conjunction with the bids team and bid software for managing existing and newly acquired accounts and implements those plans effectively.

** ** Participates in local and trade associations and conferences.

** ** Requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week.

**Nature and Scope**
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

**Work Environment**
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

**Education and Experience**
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

**Preferred Qualifications**

** ** Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 to 5 years of experience.

** ** Experience with urban transportation and light rail in Ontario.

** ** An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report, company will run that once selected.

** ** Experience managing complex accounts in a Supply Chain environment preferred.

** ** Familiarity with Miller Heiman’s Strategic Selling and Large Account Management Process concepts.
